• Black magic( 黑魔法 )

Black magic ，又称 dark magic ，即邪恶的巫术。主要以伤害别人为目的，透过放蛊、咒诅、秘密仪

式、书符等方式，达到谋杀、致病、迷惑、役使、嫁祸等目的，使人在不知不觉受害。多用于对付仇

敌或报复他人，亦可用作治病、驱邪，或针对他人所施行的巫术进行治疗、防御或反击。亦有人指黑

魔法是魔鬼的辖区，借助于一大群邪灵或恶魔的帮助，魔鬼得以进行他邪恶的工作；而帮助魔鬼的

人，则得以施展黑魔法的能力。与黑巫术相对的概念是白巫术。

值得一提的是：白魔法并不是克制黑魔法用的，而是与黑魔法一起配合所产生的巨大能量所创造的。

building ；意思是建筑物旁搭的小棚子。

「 regain possession of 」 =take control of…again ，意思是重新获得 … 的控制。

want to do sth. 的搭配；那么 「 she too wanted to 」 意思是她也想 … ； 「 be rid of 」 =to be free of

somebody/something that has been annoying you or that you do not want ，意思是摆脱 …

本句大意： Dr. Coutras 耸了耸他的肩膀，过了一会儿，没能 ( 进去见 Strickland) 关心 Strickland 之

后，他转身要走。她 (Ata) 跟着他，他感觉到她也希望自己马上离开。

「 went by 」 表示时间流逝，相近意思的短语还有 With time elapsing, as time goes on…

「 keep count of 」 = to remember or keep a record of ，就是表示计数的一个 phrase 。

「 that…dying 」 是解释 message 的一个从句，意思说 Strickland 快去世的消息。

1 、 Spy in the Wild （荒野间谍）：

BBC 在 2017 的开年巨作。该片由 BBC 的金牌纪录片大师 John Downer 和其团队出品，花了 3 年时间才完

成此作品。观众所看到的的每一个小时时长的节目都是从 1250 小时的镜头中提取的。该片中， BBC 节

目组一共派出了 34 位 “ 动物间谍 ” 潜入 30 多个动物家庭，借此以更亲近的镜头去观察它们的行为。千奇

百怪的间谍，定会让你大开眼界。

「 get out of my head 」 是 get sth. out of my head 换了个语序，因为宾语太长，所以把 sth. 放到了

结构的后面，这里的 sth. 是 recollection 以及后面修饰它的一系列成分；短语的意思是把 … 抛诸脑

后。

「 with which 」 是修饰 decoration 的从句； with 是 cover the walls…house with 把介词放在了 which

前面。从句的意思是 Strickland 用 decoration 覆盖了他房子的墙。

本句大意： “ 有很长一段时间，我无法忘记 Strickland 用来装饰他房子墙上的那些卓越的画幅。 “ 他沉

思地说。

「 for which 」 从句是修饰前面的 work 的，用来表示目的或者说原因；这里意思是说他一辈子都是

BBC 历时四年拍摄《蓝色星球 2 》，摄制组走遍全球四大洋，经历 125 次探险，探访 39 个国家，深入水

下长达 6000 多小时，将许多过去未知的地带、惊人的生物，以及其令人瞠目结舌的举动呈现在观众眼

前。为了拍摄到这些震撼的镜头，摄制组不仅克服各种困难险境，还使用了许多黑科技，包括 4K 超高

清和高感光摄像机， 4K 超高清的探测相机、超高清无人机等，这才得以实现各角度、各角落和各缝隙

的镜头画面。
