Asset Portal 2/28/2017
Setup a new environment for ACG Asset Portal and replace the existing environment running on obsolete HW. Asset Portal is a web ba
sed product which allows our external customers to access their monitored laboratory data (from Remote Advisor & other sources), and
run reports which enables them to improve their laboratory operations.
Office 365 12/31/2016
Build CS infrastructure necessary to support the authenticaion and transition from on-premise collaborative solutions to Office 365,
migrate exchange, internal eroom, external eroom, sharepoint.
DR Tier 1 Resizing 2/28/2017
The management see it a risk having gaps in Capacity of Tier 1 Apps in the DR environment in Dallas & Production environment in CO
S. We need to do gap analysis, get resizing pricing and a build out plan to increase the DR capability to match the production based on
the current environment/approach as needed.
Notes:
BCM Refresh 2/28/2017
SAP BCM (Business Communication Management ) is the Contact Center Solution. Due to the Obsoleting HW (ProLiant BL460c G6/G
1) going un-
supported and HW issue occurrences on report server, along with the planned BCM software update and MSSQL 2008 DB refresh, we
decide to go for HW refresh. Build completed in May. Final migration scheduled in Janurary and cutover in Feburary.
AD Refresh 12/31/2016
Gaps Analysis – Completed (Apr-30)
Gaps identified - SAP ECC/CRM, HR/Trade and Fusion DR need increased capacity
HW Order – Completed (Aug-30)
The required HW (Server & Storage) was ordered, delivered and pre-staged at DR
Server Builds – In Progress
SAP CRM DR builds – In Progress, ETA: Oct-31
SAP ECC DR builds – Pending (Notes below)
HR/Trade DB Server Build – In Progress, ETA: Oct-31
Fusion ESX Cluster Build – Pending (Notes below)
App Install – TBD
The project was in Q3 plan, however due to Oracle licensing audit it was put on hold, until we decided to resume mid-July (however
the license issue still exists).
During the gap analysis phase, it was under the assumption that Fusion DR environment doesn’t require full license unless we
switch to DR mode and run it for more than 10 days per year. However, App team raised the flag again in August that Oracle
requires that DR also needs to be fully licensed, which translates into 18 licenses with estimated total license cost of $910K if we
match the DR with Production (details enclosed). Due to the high cost implications this is on hold until the Oracle re-architect
direction is made - Eike has been working on Oracle re-architecture and the impact research.
As Eike mentioned, due to recent requirements (for HANA SPS11 upgrade) we decided to prioritize and re-use some of reserved
Hardware intended for the DR T1 Apps resizing – the servers for Fusion DR and SAP ECC, so for full completeness of DR capacity
upgrade, we will need to wait for:
The HANA SPS11 upgrade frees up the Hardware (early December)
Direction on Oracle re-architecture and licensing model (for Fusion DR) is made (TBD)

This is to refresh (P2V or P2P) current AD environment. Currently 33 out of 41 AD servers are running on obsoleting HW. We decide to
maintin a mix of physical servers and virtual servers for AD infratructure. We identified 2 AD servers with performance issues and finaliz
ed 16 candidates to be virtualized without impacting AD performance. Because AD won't be upgraded until they move to AD2016 in ab
out 2 years, we will have to build the replacement AD servers on WIndows2008 as an exception as part of virtualization penetration proj
ect. All builds completed in June. cutover site by site. now pending on migration/cutover of DMZ/DMX AD servers as we're hitting
issues on ports and communication with the devices in the DMZ/DMX. AD team and Network security team are engaged to investigate
the issue and come up with options.
