I am Michael HaiYuan Huang. I have over 15 years of IT project management and IT solutions and

delivery management experience. I have been working for Agilent Technologies for almost 11 years,

since Feb 1st,2005 to the present in the IT infrastructure solutions and delivery management position.

I manage the design and installation of new infrastructure services for internal customers. I have

been responsible for coordinating with internal customers and define and document business needs,

leading the design of cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions, and managing the 3rd party vendor for

delivery and project implementation. In this position, I set infrastructure budgets based on the

business needs and implement infrastructure strategies critical to business operation and growth.

Over years I have earned valuable experience in advising and providing consulting to internal

customers while maintaining technical leadership and effectively managing suppliers for

implementation. Also I have good understanding of Agilent’s management process, practices, org

structure and policies and procedures which is required to be successfully perform the duty

assigned in the US office.

Why do you move to US? What is your role? Why are you so important?

First, I manage an essential function for Agilent. I manage the design and installation of new

infrastructure services for internal Agilent customers. It supports the operations and growth of

business by providing infrastructure solutions for 24x7x365 global infrastructure services for essential

business needs. Without these services the Agilent cannot continue to grow.

I will assume the same roles & responsibilities in that managerial capacity for Agilent in the US.

Second, Agilent IT presence and infrastructure footprint is US centric. So,

110,000 annually (one hundred and ten thousand US dollars)

Being expert level ranked in IT solutions & delivery management role for 11 years, I have extensive

experience in managing design and installation of IT infrastructure services.

I have good skills in account management & customer engagement, solution & architecture design

and vendor management.

My expertise is around the areas of defining delivery requirements and being consultant to the

customers, maintaining technical leadership, and effectively managing suppliers for implementation.

Also I have good understanding of Agilent’s management process, practices, org structure and

policies, protocols and procedures.

What is your qualification?

I had a bachelor degree in Economics major in economic information system in 1995 and I got an

MBA from School of Economics & Management, Tsinghua University in 2001. Also, I obtained

Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management in 2007

Tell me about the team you manage.

I primarily manage a team from contracted outsourcing vendor Tata Consultancy Services, which

consists of Account Manager, Operation Manager and Project Managers and Technical resources.

There are around 100 people in the resources pool.

Tell me about your projects.

Some of the recent projects I do:

Mocha Project - Managed the design and deployment of infrastructure globally for Software

Distribution & Patch Management system for Agilent. The global deployment in 14 countries requires

extensive effort in coordination and management of local contracted vendors. The 24x7 global

infrastructure enables agile operations for end user computing services.

Topaz Project - In charge of the solution design and deployment of infrastructure for SAP Business

Communication Manager across regions. It built up the robust foundation to replace existing

decentralized call centers. The consolidated contact centers not only improve customer satisfaction

but also streamline the order-taking process contributing to business operations and growth.

Remote Advisor Project – Directed the solution design and implementation internet facing

infrastructure for Remote Advisor (RA). RA is a services software product installed at our customers

laboratory sites which monitors Agilent instruments. The infrastructure, along with the RA application

suite, creates a value differentiator for Agilent service business contributing to core business growth.
